Onima expresses concern over Kido as he has no innate fire resistance, but Kido calmly reassures him that he'll be fine and that his Quirk allows him to alter the trajectory of the hot air, just as he has been doing alongside Endeavor for years. During the fight, Dabi unleashes a massive fire tornado that sets the entire area ablaze. Final War ArcĪs part of the Heroes plan to lure out and split up All For One and his forces, Kido is warped to Kamino Ward along with his fellow sidekicks, Burnin and Onima, as they have been tasked to support Shoto's battle against Dabi. Paranormal Liberation War Arcĭuring the Paranormal Liberation War, Kido helped Endeavor get the momentum he needed to help fight Tomura Shigaraki. Later, he helps to apprehend a villain defeated by Endeavor. Endeavor Agency ArcĪlong with the rest of the Flaming Sidekickers, Kido gives a hot welcome to Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto once they arrive at the Endeavor Agency. Joint Training Arcĭuring the Joint Training Battle, Kido and Onima express concern about the mental state of Endeavor due to his obsession that his son, Shoto, does not respond to his messages. Hero Killer ArcĪfter the Hosu Incident and the capture of Stain, Kido and Onima are responsible for guarding the Nomu who was defeated by Gran Torino until he is arrested by the police. Kido became a hero ten years prior to the time of the Paranormal Liberation War and its subsequent events.
He believes in keeping a cool head and going about things logically as noted when he told Shoto Todoroki that he is still going to be given the same treatment as the other interns, Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo, despite being the son of Endeavor. Nonetheless, he expresses great pride in being a member of the Flaming Sidekickers and gladly follows Endeavor's orders. When compared to Burnin, Kido is a much less outspoken sidekick.
